I was born in Israel but I have lived in Venezuela, Spain, and Kenya; currently I reside in Ramat-Gan.
After graduating the University of Haifa with a B.A. in Hebrew Bible Studies and Jewish History , I taught for many years in both Israeli and Hebrew day schools. While living in Venezuela I obtained an M.A in Organizational Development from the Andrés Bello University, and worked in the Jewish community's educational system where I taught Hebrew and Bible classes. During my last decade in the Moral y Luces y Herzl-Bialik high school, I served as Vice-principal and Director of the Judaic studies Department. I have visited many schools in Jewish communities throughout South America, and I was personally involved in the development of curricula for Hebrew language (for which I wrote a first grade reading book) and Judaic studies. In Madrid I worked as a Coordinator of Hebrew and Judaic Studies in the Estrella Toledano School. In both Madrid and Nairobi I taught in the Israeli school.
Being fluent in Spanish helped me design my own courses for teaching this language to Israeli students, both children and adults, which I have been doing for the last 10 years.

Today I'm 51, married and the mother of 3 living with my family in Moshav Kerem Maharal, located on the Carmel slopes facing the Mediterranean Sea , a small and quiet place with beautiful views of the Carmel hills and valleys. My name is Juliana Nachmias and I was born in Athens, Greece. I moved to Israel 12 years ago. I served as a counselor for children in grades 1 to 3 for 10 years and in the last two years I have been a professional teachers as well as an English teacher (in a fun and creative type of framework) for children in the younger grades of elementary school.
I have an instructor's degree as an accredited teacher from the Kibbutzim Seminar and an MA from David Yellin College. In addition I focused on studies of Hebrew while living in Greece with attention to Hebrew as a Second Langauge. There I established an ulpan in the Athens Jewish community center. I live in Moshav Beit Zayit next to Jerusalem which right now has a large and full lake just like in Switzerland!!! About a half year ago, we returned to live in Israel after five years in Pittsburgh in the US. We now live in Zichron yakov a beautiful village next to the water in the Northern section of Israel. I am married with three wonderful children. I love to read, travel and get involved with all sorts of interactive sporting activities. Parenting and education are two ideals that are very important to me. As well culture and history of our nation are topics I love. My studies and work experience have allowed me to make these subjects into my profession. I studied for my first degree in Behavioral Science and my MA in Development of Educational Methods which gave me the tools to develop theories and ideas in these subjects. I worked in the Machon Moreshet Ben Gurion where I was involved with developing curricula and teaching modern Israeli history which gave me the chance to daily interact with my students.
Over the course of my five years in America I began my "affair" with studies of the Hebrew language. I taught in a Hebrew day school and in an afternoon program. I greatly enjoyed my interaction with the American Jewish scene which taught me a great deal about my role within the Jewish people. But most of all I relished the opportunity to teach children and adults the Hebrew language, which all of a sudden in the Diaspora took on a whole new meaning. I am very appreciative that I can continue with this mission now that I'm here in Israel.

I taught adulys, youth often preparing for their bar or bat mitzvah as well as young children. Through drama and acting methods we would break barriers and encourage student participation.

My parents arrived as Holocaust survivors from Romania to Kibbutz Mitbachim in the Negev region of Israel. After the War of Independence they moved to Kibbutz Nitzanim and there I was born. I grew up on the kibbutz, served in the army and studied industrial instruction. I learned and worked in the kibbutz cafeteria and with the children and later I taught new immigrants from the Former Soviet Union in Ulpan. I traveled to Russia to teach Ulpan and when I returned I arrived at the Nitzan School where I worked as a secretary. I have three daughters and five grandchildren. My hobbies are crossword puzzles, handcrafts and jewelry making.

I live in a picturesque neighborhood in the center of Jerusalem. I love my city very much because of its unique atmosphere, fine weather, and also because every corner of it is a living piece of history. Every time I return to Jerusalem after being away, I am instantly filled with new energy. I have a son, Udi, who is a student in the Hebrew University, and with us also lives our beloved dog Shilgi who is already 15 years old. I'm very fond of gardening and am always trying to maintain a little shrubbery in the yard and around the house. I came back recently from a two-year mission in St. Petersburg, Russia, during which I taught Hebrew and Jewish tradition in a local Jewish school. I believe that in order to learn a language efficiently, it's very important to be exposed to the culture from which it stems, and that is why I always try to illustrate the lingual material with examples from day-to-day life.

My name is Nurit, just like the red flower that blossoms in the Spring. And that of couse explains my Hebrew name, Aviv meaning Spring. I am born into a veteran Israeli family (nine generations in the country.) I live in Nesher, a small town close to Haifa and am a mother to two grown daughters. In 1995, I became acquainted for the first time with the subject of acquiring the Hebrew language through ulpan.
Before that time, I taught in High School administrative and secretarial studies at which point I received an offer that I couldn't refuse. I went through teacher's training courses and gained many tools and strategies how to help new immigrants to Israel best grasp the Hebrew language. I started teaching in ulpanim for adults and children together and I enjoyed every minute. My students achieved remarkable accomplishments in reading, writing and speech. Pretty soon, I had moved up the professional ladder and was responsible for the ulpan's computer program supervising 100 classes. I provided each class with enrichment sessions and even became involved with developing new computer lessons. I see in Hebrew instruction both challenges as well as a national responsibility. There is remarkable satisfaction in taking a student from a point where they know almost nothing to a level of fluency that my students use daily.
In addition to all that is mentioned above I have taught adults in language and reading comprehension used to help them complete academic degrees.

Yaffa Gadish brings to eTeacher 26 years of experience teaching the Hebrew language and grammar to elementary and high- school students. She also taught Hebrew at the center of -Jewish Studies in the Hungarian Eotvos-Lorand University in Budapest, and at the Rabbinical Seminary of Budapest. Yaffa teaches Hebrew from the beginner's level up to the advanced level in a verity of "Ulpan" methods. She regards teaching Hebrew at the Diaspora as a blessed calling. She feels responsible for her students' progress and is very enthusiastic about spreading the Hebrew language and culture to as many students as possible, always with patience and respect. Yaffa holds an academic teaching certificate in Hebrew language and Jewish studies.

Ada Lisogorsky has been teaching Hebrew for 35 years. Fluent in both Spanish and Hebrew, she began her career as a Hebrew teacher and Ulpan teacher in Argentina where she taught both children and adults. Since making Aliya in 1971, she has been teaching in Ulpanim throughout Israel. Ada prides herself on inspiring and motivating students from all cultures and levels of learning. As a teacher, Ada has consistently developed her educational skills to tailor to her students' needs using both interactive and traditional methods of instruction. Her patient and upbeat attitude towards teaching and her students reflects her lifelong dedication and love for what she does. In her free time Ada likes to work in the garden, and to cook and bake for friends and family.

I grew up in Haifa and have lived in many places all over Israel - in the north and in the central part of Israel, but it was Jerusalem I always came back to. This city always felt like home to me. Now I live with my husband in a small village near Jerusalem.
Languages fascinated me since I was a child, but Hebrew has always been special for me - so logical yet powerful, ancient but still developing, influenced by so many languages and influencing even more, this language made me want to spend more and more time learning it. That's why I enjoy so much teaching Hebrew and translating to it.
I spend my free time reading books (not only on linguistics), translating or playing around with my dog.

Vered Regev started teaching Hebrew during her military service. She was chosen for a special project for soldiers to teach Hebrew in Ulpanim in Southern cities in Israel. The training for this project was provided by the Kaye College in Beer Sheva. Vered got her B.A. degree in Education and started teaching in an Elementary School in the South. After 3 years of teaching, she signed up for a Teachers' Certificate Program sponsored by the Jewish Agency for teaching Hebrew abroad. At the end of the training she flew to Ohio to teach in a local Hebrew School, where she taught Hebrew, Bible, Judaism and Israeli History, which she enjoyed immensely.

Na'ama Shutan has been teaching Hebrew for over 16 years in various Ulpanim and in various levels. Today she gives private group and one-on-one lessons in Hebrew. Na'ama's educational background includes a B.A. in bible and Hebrew grammar and an M.A. in Education. She lives with her husband and two sons in Binyamina and she likes physical activities such as swimming, cycling and Yoga as well as reading and watching movies.

I live in Tel-Aviv, a big City near the Mediterranean Sea. I have a lovely daughter named Lital. I love having long walks on its sandy beautifull beach, especially sitting in "Banana Beach", watching amazing sunsets. My favorite hours are when I do my weekly spin around the interesting museums that are spread all over the City. I find the Israely culture very colorful and variated. I like very much the Hebrew language, especially for its ancient and modern levels. I began teaching Hebrew as a Soldier Teacher in the early 1965s, after being qualified in a "seminar", a special school for teacers. At that time, like now, many new arrivals were settled in new places in Israel and needed to be taught Hebrew in order to help them integrate into the local society. Apart from teaching, I write Poetry and Articles, another way to express my deep love to the Hbrew language. I believe that the online learning - saves time, and adds enthusiasm to the study within the convenience of privecy and personal attention.

Since 1990, Shlomit Ben has been teaching Hebrew in Ulpanim to both beginners and advanced students, as well as to students in colleges, preparing them for their Bagrut exams in Hebrew and for academic studies. She also gave private lessons to groups and individuals who wanted to improve their Hebrew writing and speaking skills. As a student, she taught summer courses to foreign students at the Hebrew University.

Sarah has been teaching Hebrew to new immigrants since 1994 in the southern Israeli city of Arad, where she lives. She received her BA degree in French Literature and her Hebrew teaching certificate from the Ben Gurion University in Beer Sheva. Sarah also took various linguistic courses in Latin and ancient French where she found her fascination with the evolution of languages, for example the evolution of Biblical Hebrew to the Modern Hebrew spoken today.

Ilana, a veteran school teacher and Hebrew teacher, started teaching Hebrew to new immigrants in 1990 and has been teaching in Ulpans ever since. Her educational background includes a teacher's certificate and a B.ed in education, literature and Bible studies and an M.A. in Jewish History and Bible studies. She also took various courses in Hebrew grammar, literature, Bible, etc. and a special course in teaching Hebrew to new immigrants. Ilana's rich professional experience includes 22 years of teaching in Junior High Schools and 18 years of teaching Hebrew to new immigrants.

Nechama has been living in the southern city of Arad for the past 33 years. She has 12 years of experience in teaching Hebrew to new immigrants at all levels. She has also developed pre-academic programs in the Hotel industry for new immigrants and produced and customized national ceremonies especially for new immigrants. Nechama is very active in the social arena, planning and managing special municipal social projects involving youths and adults. She has a B.A. in Social Studies and Humanities as well as a teaching certificate.

Yardena has been teaching Hebrew to new immigrants since 1999. Her main focus has been in teaching advanced level students as well as advanced technological and medical Hebrew to engineers and medical students. She also has many years of experience as a Hebrew editor in various positions. Yardena's academic background includes a B.A. in Hebrew Grammar and Comparative Literature, an M.A. in Jewish History and certifications as a Hebrew teacher for adults and as a Hebrew editor.

Ornit has been teaching Hebrew for over 17 years in Ulpan classes for new immigrants and in academic settings for students. She has also been involved in special projects for Jewish youth from all over the world. Ornit believes that learning Hebrew is the key to a successful integration into the Israeli society. Malka brings 25 years of teaching experience in various areas; she has taught elementary school grades, junior high school grades and adults. She has also taught new immigrants in different levels. Her expertise is in teaching Hebrew grammar and computers.

Malka began teaching Hebrew in 1988 to immigrant children. Since 1990 she has been teaching Hebrew (beginner to advanced levels) to adult immigrants: many of whom are from the former Soviet Union and/or tourists from all over the world staying in Israel for other reasons. Malka holds a bachelor's degree in Hebrew Linguistics and Arabic Literature and Linguistics as well as a teaching certificate qualifying her to teach high school children, both from Hebrew University in Jerusalem.

Haya has been teaching for over 40 years in various educational institutions, from elementary schools, through high schools and teachers'' seminars. She was also an educational liaison for the Ministry of Education in the former USSR, where she trained teachers, managed Ulpans, and organized seminars for Hebrew teachers. In addition, Haya worked for 20 years preparing students for their matriculation exams in Hebrew literature and writing skills, and today she still works in evaluation of matriculation exams in these subjects. Haya's educational background includes a bachelor and master degrees in Hebrew literature and Israeli History, as well as numerous educational courses.

Yehudit has been teaching Hebrew for almost two decades. She taught Hebrew in Israel to new immigrants of all ages and abroad to Jews in St. Petersburg. Throughout the years as a teacher Yehudit developed various new and innovative learning methods, utilizing speaking, listening and watching as well as computer interactive techniques.
Yehudit was born and raised in Rishon le Ziyyon, one of the first Israeli cities to be built by the idealist Zionist immigrants.

Lea is a writer, poet, musician and teacher. She works as a music teacher, a literary enrichment teacher and a Hebrew and Bible teacher in an elementary school. Lea started her Hebrew teaching career in the early 70’s, with the big Russian immigration to Israel, teaching adults and teen-agers. Teaching Hebrew to adults gives Lea the opportunity to enjoy two of her passions- the love of people and the love of the Hebrew language.

Tsipi has been teaching Hebrew to new immigrants, tourists and foreign workers for many years. She has also worked as a Hebrew editor, writer and narrator. She writes stories and poems for children, edits books and recites for the blind in a library.
