If you're looking for a place that combines a breathtaking desert view, underwater natural treasures, warm sea water all-year-round and lots of sun, as well as various tourist attractions - Eilat (אֵילַת) is the place for you! This city is located at Israel's southernmost tip and holds the borders of Israel with Egypt (מִצְרַיִם, mitsrayim) on the southeast and with Jordan (יַרְדֵּן, yarden) on the southwest. It is located on the northern tip of the Red Sea (יָם סוּף, yam suf) and, therefore, operates as

Israel's southern port (נָמֵל, namel) connecting Israel by sea to the Far East and the countries surrounding the Indian Ocean.
Eilat is mentioned in the bible as one of the stops in the journey of the Children of Israel during the Exodus and as a major port during the days of King Solomon (הַמֶּלֶךְ שְׁלֹמֹה, hamelex shlomo). Modern Eilat was established in the early fifties of the 20th century and later on became one of Israel's most popular tourist centers.

Shalom! thank you very much for all the issues of the Newsletter. It is for me a great help and an excellent supplement, as I am an eTeacher student. I am luxuriating all the parts, the up-to-date information's, the grammar, the songs, ect.
What about the Eteacher course, I must express my complete satisfaction. Especially the teaching method of the language is superb! I learned many languages from a lot of schoolbooks, I learned ivrit from different textbooks, published in Europe, the USA and also in Israel. But only now I understood many things from the grammar. Till now I had problems with the conjugation, now it is very easy for me. This is only one example. I speak highly of the course. Also the teacher is excellent, and if there are sometimes some technical problems, the technical support people are very willing to eliminate promptly the flaw. However I graduate the "beginners", I am would like to continue the second level.
