On this issue we will learn about fruitfulness.
While the last issue of the Classical Hebrew Newsletter dealt with barrenness, this issue deals with childbearing. Barrenness is a condition that paradoxically occurred to all the four mothers of the Jewish nation (Sarah, Rivka, Rachel, and Leah) at a certain point of their lives. They all eventually enjoyed fruitfulness and created the origins of our nation. This issue is devoted to childbearing including words, phrases, and idiom related to this wonderful event of creation.
Good luck (literally means "in good hour/time") - blessings for a new beginning!

Thank you for this newsletter. As I read about the Shabbat preparations, I am reminded of 2 of my favorite books by Amos Oz : Fima and A Tale of Love and Darkness.
The story of Fima takes place in Jerusalem, and Oz describes a Friday afternoon as Fima strolls through the city, what he sees, smells, and hears as the neighbors make preparations for Shabbat.
In his book A Tale of Love and Darkness, Amos Oz describes the markets, with their fruits, and cheeses, and oils, and spices, and olives, where he went with his mother many times.
If I could do one thing, I would love to meet Mr. Oz, and thank him for the beautiful stories he has given me.
